SolarEdge Battery: my battery is at 100% and isn't discharging to my home at night
A full battery that stays at 100% overnight usually comes down to its operating mode, not a broken battery.
Check your battery mode in the mySolarEdge app
- Backup only / Backup reserve at 100%: The battery saves all its power for outages and won't power your home at night. This is normal for this setting.
- Maximize self-consumption: The battery should discharge in the evening to power your home.
- Time-of-use: The battery only discharges during the times set in your schedule.
Other things to check
- Make sure the battery shows no errors in the app.
- Check that the backup reserve percentage isn't set too high.
- If your system doesn't have a consumption meter, the battery may not know when your home needs power.
